THOSE of us who doubted 's ability to make history this season by reaching their first Mayo senior championship final were given an emphatic response last Sunday afternoon as they ended the title aspirations of a disappointing .James Horan's young team (which was complemented by the experience and substance of captain John Feeney and Tom Earley, as well as the style of the mercurcial Alan Dillon) broke new ground for GAA club by marching into next month's decider.Ironically, while this result confirms their place in the new order of senior clubs in the county it also asks some pertinent questions about 's ability to produce backtoback matchwinning performances in this competition.There was no doubting the merit of 's victory and they celebrated at the final whistle with great gusto. However, they also left plenty of room for improvement, especially up front, and the anaemic nature of 's display means that this is not a game that will live long in the memory.The winners shot 15 in
